Caren's Story ~ A Custom Design Turquoise Cluster With Tassel Tips Bolo Tie began through our ongoing collaboration with Carmona's Western Wear, where Caren works and where Mike's Custom Bolos partners on jewelry and bolo tie projects. Caren had her eye on a small turquoise centerpiece and wanted to turn it into something completely different from a traditional bolo tie.

While looking around the shop, Caren noticed a pair of earrings with little leather tassels and had an idea. She asked Mike to customize the turquoise centerpiece using her preferred leather color and replace standard bolo tie tips with the tassels. The result was playful, feminine, Southwestern, and completely original — a custom design built from pieces she already loved.

That first design became the beginning of an ongoing creative friendship. Caren continues to bring us ideas when she sees something she really likes, and we continue creating custom pieces around her vision. Our collaboration with Caren and Carmona's Western Wear is a great example of how the best custom designs often begin with a simple idea and a willingness to try something new.
