Ross's Story ~ Custom Heirloom Stone Bolo Tie began at a festival in Elgin, Texas, where Ross first met Michael while Mike's Custom Bolos was set up selling bolo ties. After the event, Ross tracked us down through a mutual friend with a special idea: he wanted to create a custom bolo tie using meaningful stones that he could keep close to his heart while also honoring his grandfather by reusing the original tips from his grandfather's bolo tie.

From there, the design became a true collaboration. The stones carried personal meaning for Ross, while the inherited bolo tips connected the finished piece directly to his family history. Rather than creating something entirely new, we were able to bring old and new together in a way that honored the memories already attached to those original pieces.

When the bolo tie was complete, Ross received his finished custom piece and joined us for a live video debut of his Story. That moment captured exactly what custom work can become: not simply an accessory, but a wearable connection to family, memory, friendship, and the people who came before us.
